 The medical surgical nursing department core values are proficiency, critical thinking, holism, quality patient care and to be responsive and updated with the rapidly evolving and continually changing societal health needs regarding medical surgical nursing field.

Mission

The medical surgical nursing department primary mission is to prepare undergraduates nursing students with basic medical surgical nursing principles and techniques upon which they can further proceed. Emphasis is to faster learning ameliorate quality patient care in different medical surgical nursing specialties.

Objectives

• Prepare competent ,professional nurses in the general and specialties of  medical surgical settings
• Prepares the undergraduates nursing students with the  cognitive and psychomotor skills of professional nurses to be responsive to societal evolving needs
• Teach the recent innovative methods to solve patient`s problems through scientific approaches and evidenced based practice.
