Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, His Excellency Major General/ Hisham Amna, Governor of Beheira and Prof. Dr. Ebeed Saleh, Damanhour University Rector, the second international scientific conference was launched under the title (Nursing Competencies … a Future Look) at the Faculty of Nursing, Damanhour University.
The event was attended by Dr. Yousry Bayoumi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in El Beheira Governorate, Dr. Hamouda Al-Gazzar, the Undersecretary of the Directorate and Prof. Dr. Peter Draper, Professor of Nursing Education at Hull University, England, as well as the president of Beheira Nursing Syndicate, the representative of military nursing, deans of faculties, staff members and students of the university.
- The conference lasted for two days (30 & 31 October, 2019).
- The conference included several workshops:
– Roadmap Workshop: about how to develop the skills of researchers in nursing sciences to advance the profession.
– Digitization Workshop: this workshop provides practical steps and applications for the development of education and scientific research in the field of nursing.
– A Workshop on the rules of the Committee for the promotion of staff members in the nursing sector: this workshop is concerned with a full explanation of all new rules for promotions with answers to common inquiries.
- On the sidelines of the conference, the honorary guests were honored and handed over the shields of the conference, headed by the faculty shield presented to Prof. Dr. Ebeed Saleh, Rector of the University, and it was received by his deputy, Prof. Dr. Gamal Omran.
