- It started in 2009, its name was Medica-Surgical Nursing department and changed to be Adult Health Nursing department in 9/1/2023 after starting credit hours program.

- Mission
Preparing student cadres distinguished in knowledge and skills to provide advanced and comprehensive nursing care in various adult nursing specialties based on competency and a critical thinking approach, allowing them to compete locally and regionally.
- Objectives
- Contributing to the preparation of competent professionals in various adult health nursing specialties.
- Equipping undergraduate nursing students with cognitive, motor and professional skills to keep pace with the evolving needs of society
- Teaching modern innovative methods to solve patients’ problems through scientific approach and evidence-based practice
- Participation in teaching and students’ affairs:
- Teaching activities for first and second year students
- Training students in different clinical settings in the hospital in Adult Health Nursing speciality as medical, surgical, dialysis, urology, hematemesis, orthopaedic and neurology departments.
- Participation in higher studies and scientific research:
- Teaching master and PhD in Adult- Health Nursing programs
- Participate in scientific research paper according to research plan of the department, faculty and Damanhour University.
- Supervision of master and PhD thesis in Adult Health Nursing according to research plan of the department, faculty and Damanhour University and award master and PhD degree in Adult Health Nursing.
- Participation in community service:
- Participation in patient and family health education according to disease condition and prevention of common and risky diseases.
